Armored Mobile Command Van POINTER®

Command, control, and communications under ballistic armor

WHERE COMMAND MEETS THE FIELD

When an incident runs long, the command staff needs a place to work that sits closer than headquarters and holds up better than a folding table behind a patrol car. The POINTER® Mobile Command van gives them that place: a full-size armored van outfitted as a working headquarters, with workstations, monitors, and secure communications to run an operation from inside the perimeter. It shares its ballistic engineering with the POINTER® SWAT/APC van and trades the entry-team benches for an operations floor.

PROTECTION AROUND THE DECISION-MAKERS

A command post concentrates the people an operation cannot afford to lose, then parks them in one visible spot for hours. We wrap the full passenger cell in certified ballistic steel and multi-layer, no-spall glazing, overlapped through the doors and pillars. Hence, the cabin forms a single continuous shell. Commanders, analysts, and radio operators keep working through conditions that would force an unprotected vehicle off the scene.

ENGINEERED FOR HIGH-THREAT ENVIRONMENTS

Armor levels run from Alpine Level A4 to A9 (CEN B6+), with laboratory-tested materials and ballistic protection rated against rifle fire and explosive threats. Reinforced suspension and upgraded braking carry the added weight without dulling the drive, so the van deploys at road speed and repositions the moment the situation shifts. Builds pass through our own live-fire testing program before delivery, the same proving ground behind the rest of the fleet.

INSIDE THE MOBILE HEADQUARTERS

The floor plan follows the mission. Workstations and monitors line the cabin, a server and network cabinet anchors the electronics, and secure communications keep field units, dispatchers, and central command on the same picture. A 360-degree camera system and side cameras feed exterior views directly to the crew screens, allowing staff to track the scene from their seats. An auxiliary generator carries the high-power loads, from the monitor wall and server cabinet to the climate system, so the electronics run for as long as the incident does. A power inverter with USB outlets keeps laptops and radios charged at the workstations; the rear air-conditioning unit keeps cabin temperature down for people and hardware alike, and white/red crew lighting preserves night vision after dark. Privacy curtains and lockable cabinets keep briefings and sensitive material inside the van.
